Brought up in the Mabvuku area, Fortune is a leading example of the successes of rugby development programs in the country. Fortune is well known for his skills off the restart as an ‘airman’ and his physical presence around the field.

Stephen (Stavo) first represented the #famousegrousecheetahsin 2013, having knocked on the selector's doors for some time now. In September (2013) Stavo represented the Cheetahs at the Middelburg 7s event in South Africa, where he showcased his express acceleration and threat to opposition defenses. Unfortunately injured prior to the IRB Sevens World Series event in Port Elizabeth, Stavo could not be considered for selection at the Cheetahs last tournament. Stavo is great role model in the community, giving a great deal of his time to the development of the sport, through the Mbare Academy. With a training ethic that is 2nd to none, look out for Stavo as he seeks to secure his#famousgrousecheetahs jersey in 2014.

Farai, is often known as ‘Jigga’ by his friends. With an incredible workrate and fantastic ball carrying abilities, Jigga is a threat to defensive systems. Jigga’s fitness levels are incredibly high, ensuring his high workrate can carry him through a full match. Schooled at Prince Edward, Jigga has caught the eye of selectors and spectators and is an exciting prospect for the #famousegrousecheetahs in the future.

Jacques has represented the #famousegrousecheetahs since2005, having been captain of the side for many of those years. Having gone to 2 the Rugby World Cup 7s events in 2009 and 2013, Jacques work rate on the field is a feature that is well respected in the international game. Being able to play at either prop or hooker, a feature of Jacques play is collecting the ball from kick-off / restarts. Watch your captain lead Zimbabwe in 2014...

Kilvan has been a regular member of the #famousegrousecheetahs for a number of seasons now, representing the country at the 2013 World Cup. With extreme acceleration Kilvan can leave in a defender very quickly. Often known as ‘Magunj’, Kilvan’s speed and evasion skills often result in him scoring a number of tries for the team.

Hilton joined the #famousegrousecheetahs in 2013 having been identified as a rising star for Zimbabwe Rugby. In 2013, Hilton made his first appearance for the Zimbabwe team on the IRB 7s World Series in Port Elizabeth. Currently Hilton studies and plays his rugby in the United Kingdom. With great ball skills, Hilton can provide versatility in the backs and restarts the game often at kick-off. Hilton’s fitness and physicality levels provide oppositions with a number of headaches. Njabulo, often known by his abbreviated nick-name ‘Jabs’ has been a member of the #famousegrousecheetahs for over 3 years now. Jabs plays his rugby for the University of Western Cape in South Africa. Jabs is the ‘powerman’ of the team,
bringing considerable physicality and go forward for the side during a game. Watch Jabs in 2014 as he enforces himself on the opposition.

Gardner, has been a regular member of the #famousegrousecheetahs for over 6 years now, having played at the 2009 and 2013 Rugby World Cups. Nick-named ‘Gards’, his versatility in the team is a feature that provides teams with great flexibility. Gards has played in the forwards as well as in the backs. With long strides, good speed and remarkable skills off the kick-off, Gards is a great asset to Zimbabwe Rugby.

Tangai has represented the #famousegrousecheetahs since 2007, going to 2 the Rugby World Cup 7s events in 2009 and 2013. Tangai is often known as ‘Toobad’, with his flair and skill being well known by rugby audiences both locally and
internationally. With ball in hand Toobad can razzle a defense and create opportunities for the his outside backs. As well as often taking on the role of restarts and conversions, Tangai has played centre for the team.

Ben is the #famousegrousecheetahs latest recruit, having played his rugby in the USA for a number of years now. Ben made his first appearance for the team at the Zimbabwe Invitational 7s tournament in 2014. Having played a great deal of 7s in America and being part of their development structures, Ben brings a good knowledge and understanding of the game to the team.

Riaan has recently joined the #famousegrousecheetahs training group, after having played for the Goshawks at the Zimbabwe Invitational 7s tournament in Harare. With good skills and an abrasive presence on the field, Riaan will be an asset to Zimbabwe Rugby in the future.

O"en known as ‘Rubber’, Tafadzwa was brought up in Masvingo and schooled at Kyle College. Rubber has represented the #famousegrousecheetahs since 2012, going to the Rugby World Cup 7s in 2013. With blistering speed and a reputation for scoring tries, he is a man to watch in 2014. Often Rubber will round defenders, or win a foot race when a ball is kicked in behind a defensive line. Playmaker Lenience, often referred to as LT, made his debut for the #famousegrousecheetahs in 2013 at the IRB 7s World Series event in Port Elizabeth. Having gone to Churchill, LT has been at the Sharks Academy whilst returning to Harare Sports Club for various fixtures. At playmaker, LT is a central figure in the team. With a smooth kicking style and precise accuracy, LT is often seen restarting games and taking conversions for the team.

Bisele, simply known by his team mates at B made his debut for the #famousegrousecheetahs in 2013 at the IRB 7s World Series event in Port Elizabeth. Currently playing his club rugby in Durban for Varsity College, B is often responsible for fielding kick-offs for the team. Combined with a strong physical presence on the field, B is a player to watch in the future.

Seb is an up and coming prospect for Zimbabwe Rugby, having come through the Junior representative sides and now featuring in the #famousegrousecheetahs high performance program. Seb’s high workrate and physicality are a feature of his game. Look out for Seb as he continues to rise in Zimbabwe Rugby.

Morgan only left school last year, having been to Prince Edward. Having been identified for his blistering speed with ball in hand, Morgan is a regular feature of the #famousegrousecheetahs high performance program. With the ability to play at wing, centre and playmaker, Morgan is an exciting prospect for the future. To add to his positional versatility, Morgan is also very good at fielding restarts.

Sean is brother of Justin Coles, who has played for the #famousgrousecheetahs at several IRB 7s World Series events. With similar features of extreme speed and good evasion skills, Sean is a threat to opposition defenses. Having left St Johns College in 2013, Sean is a rising star in Zimbabwe Rugby. Sean has previously led Zimbabwe representative sides at age group level and is now a regular feature of the #famousegrousecheetahs high performance program.
